The world is a place of madness. Almost every person who lives and who has lived, go forward with their life with so little understanding, and so little desire for it. They live out their days at utter machines of convention: they accept conventional morals, they live their lives following a conventional path with a conventional job and make a few more conventional children. Few are they, whom Nietzsche called the Ubermensch, whom Ayn Rand called the Men of the Mind; These few men, fiercely individualist, unbound by a false attachment to the values of others, defined by nothing more than that they had a vision, and chose to think and to live, rather than to receive and exist, universally hated in their respective times by the men of convention, they single-handedly carried the world to all it's moments of glory and achievement, and not for the sake of the world, who shunned them for their heresy, but because they were driven to see their vision to life.
The world is indeed a place of madness, for never have the ubermensch been respected by the world, and nor have the principles which led to their greatness. Always, to this very day, has reference to an alleged higher power, which the men of convention accept wholeheartedly, been used to destroy or to warp the purpose of the creations of the men of the mind. "It's rebellion against the word of God", they say, "it's unamerican" they say, "it's a matter of 'national security'" they say, "It's for the greater good" they say, "it's for the good of the community" they say. When they do accept the creations of the men of the mind, they corrupt it for their own toxic purposes. In so doing, they rob it's creator of his sovereign vision for that which was the product of his mind, which is as good as destroying it.
The purveyors of madness keep their hold by promoting as gospel truth, codes of morality that are hostile to all that is good.
