but back to the OP, Audacity works fine if you just wanna prerecord shit and then mess with the pitch, tone etc, but if you want a live changer, I'd look on youtube for 'voice changer' and download whatever one seems best, but w/e, here's a video of one I found that doesn't look too bad

ofc, most of the programs you find aren't gonna be free, but finding pirated copies of most things on the internet isn't that hard

maybe it's because most irc networks block tor exit nodes. afaik once you've got tor setup and running, you have to setup your irc proxy connection to route through localhost and the port tor is running on

put the irc client through your tor socket? try torsocks or socksify or something if it doesn't have proxy stuff built in
